It was written by Moses and the very first verse says: In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Today, we are studying God's creation. The first chapter of Genesis reflects the creation story from the ancient Sumerian tablets, Mesopotamian and Babylonian records. Apparently while the Hebrews were in Babylonian captivity they became aware of their creation story. This story shows the plurality of gods (Elohim) known as the Nephilim to be the creators.
